Internationally acclaimed artist, composer, and conductor Damien Sneed is coming home to Augusta, Georgia for a powerful, one-night-only musical celebration, “Damien Sneed & Friends: The Soundtrack of America,” at the Bell Auditorium on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 7:00 PM.
Presented by LeChateau Entertainment and The Damien Sneed Foundation, this electrifying concert promises to be an unforgettable tribute to America’s greatest musical legends — performed by one of its most brilliant contemporary voices. A proud Augusta native and graduate of John S. Davidson Fine Arts School, Damien Sneed has achieved international acclaim across multiple genres — from gospel and jazz to classical and soul music.
Currently a tenured Associate Professorin the Music Department of Howard University’s Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts and on faculty at The Juilliard School, Sneed now returns to the city that shaped him with a stellar lineup of world-class vocalists and musicians, including his friends Chenee Campbell, Markita Knight, Alicia Peters-Jordan, Anitra Raquel McKinney, Matia Celeste Washington and Linny Smith.
The concert will also feature award-winning special guests: Kenny Lattimore, Howard University alumnus and internationally renowned R&B vocalist, and Tasha Page Lockhart Season 6 winner of BET’s Sunday Best. Sneed served as music director for Season 4 of the hit gospel competition show, where he helped shape the careers of future gospel stars.
Backed by Sneed’s phenomenal band and the powerful voices of a young, multigenerational choir made up of students from the Jessye Norman School of the Arts, Augusta Preparatory Day School, and his alma mater, Davidson Fine Arts, this concert is more than a performance— it’s a homecoming, a tribute, and a cultural landmark.
